A Best Nonprofit to Work For in 2016

The Mission Continues ranked #7 in The Nonprofit Times annual survey of the “Best Nonprofits to Work For” released today.

“This is our fifth time in a row making the list, and we’re proud of what we have done to keep it that way,” said The Mission Continues President and Army veteran Spencer Kympton. “In order to serve veterans, we need to be constantly growing and improving, and that takes a strong team and a great work environment.”

The NonProfit Times completes a census of top non-profits each year to get a snapshot of the organizations’ cultures policies, and benefits. In last year’s rankings, The Mission Continues qualified among small organizations with less than 49 employees, and rose seven spots to #15 while ranking #20 among non-profits across the board.

Regardless of whether a staff member has been here for three months or three years, our motivation starts with our mission. We deploy veterans on new missions in their communities, so that their actions will inspire future generations to serve. Our continuous growth in capacity and program plays a big part in accomplishing that mission. In the past year we unveiled a new program, Mass Deployments, which will launch this June in Detroit. We also continued building Her Mission Continues, a campaign focused on the service and success of women in The Mission Continues. The campaign continues this weekend in New Orleans for our inaugural Women Veterans Leadership Summit.

We take pride in the work we do. We look forward to coming into work everyday because we work as a team to get results. We get results by living by our core values: work hard, learn and grow, trust, respect, and have fun.

And in the end, we can’t ask for a better reason to come to work each day than to support and empower an incredible community of veterans and volunteers.

The Mission Continues, Mission Continues
