The Mission Continues empowers military veterans who are adjusting to life at home find purpose through community impact. That is our sole purpose. We were founded nearly 10 years ago as a nonprofit, non-partisan organization. Everything we do is designed to help veterans build new connections while making a positive difference in their communities.
“We are proud to be backed by a diversity of supporters who are united in their belief that veterans are leaders with much more to give to help make our country great,” said Spencer Kympton, president of The Mission Continues. “We work to help veterans and underserved communities– not political parties or candidates.”
The Mission Continues remains focused on policies and practices that help more of our nation’s veterans successfully reintegrate to civilian life. The founder of our organization has chosen to pursue political office, but he has not had day-to-day engagement with our work since stepping down from our Board of Directors prior to announcing his candidacy in 2015.
Over the course of a decade, we’ve added new programs, established new partnerships and expanded our reach to impact veterans and communities across 49 states – all driven by the enthusiasm of a broad base of supporters that includes corporations, foundations and individuals, on both sides of the aisle, who are united by a passion for supporting veterans.
Although much about our organization has changed, today, we remain grounded in the mission and principles on which we were founded. At the core of all of our work is a unique model that deploys veterans on new missions in their communities. As volunteers, veterans not only build new skills and networks that help them successfully reintegrate to life after the military, but they also make long-term positive impact on some of the biggest challenges facing our country today.
Over 1,700 fellowships and 63 platoons later, the ongoing support from people across the country has made an undeniable difference. We want to thank our supporters for joining together with The Mission Continues as we help more and more veterans make a sustainable impact in their communities.
